Drink Recipes – Southside Cocktail

From August 14, 2012. We had a LOT of fresh mint growing in the backyard in Savannah, so I used some to make mint simple syrup! I got this recipe off of Tanqueray’s Facebook posts, but it can be found on their website as well.

Southside Cocktail

2 mint sprigs

1/2 ounce simple syrup (I used 1/2 ounce mint syrup instead of fresh mint because I had it already)

1/2 ounce lime juice

1 1/4 oz Tanqeray No. 10 Gin (I used Bombay Sapphire – it was fine )

Club soda

Smash a mint sprig, the lime juice, and the syrup in a shaker and mix with gin. Pour into a highball glass of crushed ice, top with club soda, and add a sprig of mint for garnish.

Very refreshing! Cheers.
