This is from the fruits of my labor of tracking down the elusive lavender while in Savannah, GA. I made syrup for all of my lavender drinks at once so I wouldn’t have to find it again! From August 19, 2012.
Makes 2 cups
Mix 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until all of the sugar dissolves. Add 1/4 cup dried food-grade lavender and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let steep for 1 hour. Strain; refrigerate until needed.
Very tasty in a variety of drinks! Cheers.
