Drink Recipe – Blackberry Gin Fizz

Another throwback! My nephews and I went blackberry picking, so I had to make a drink from some of them. August 12, 2012. Recipe found on Martha Stewart Weddings.

Blackberry Gin Fizz

Makes 6 servings.

12 ounces blackberries

2 tablespoons powdered sugar (I used simple syrup)

3 tablespoons lime juice

6 ounces gin

15 mint leaves

1 1/2 cups seltzer

Purée berries and sugar in a food processor. Strain, and discard seeds. Put 1/3 of purée, 1 tbsp lime juice, 2 ounces gin, and 1/3 mint leaves, torn, into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until cold. Pour into 2 8-oz glasses and add 1/4 cup seltzer to each. Repeat twice. Garnish with mint sprigs and extra blackberries.

Delicious! Cheers.
